Why I Only Offer Full-Day Photography Coverage

I love thinking outside the box, especially when it comes to my couple’s wedding day. The way I think of it, my top responsibility is to create a storyline showcasing the sincere, organic moments speckled throughout the day. To be honest, there are so many reasons I exclusively offer full-day wedding photography coverage. The most important reason is that each wedding is entirely unique. I want to help in telling the story of your beautiful day, and trying to fit your day into a shortened time block is like ripping out chapters in a novel.

I am truly humbled and honored to be a part of your wedding day. Capturing your journey is exciting! When I spend the entire day with you, I spend time capturing your sisters and brothers, your momma, and your closest friends spending the morning together. Imagine the heart-stopping moments when your dad sees you in your wedding dress for the first time, and when your nervous groom is spending time with his childhood friends, isn’t it worth having those precious moments to remember forever? These moments aren’t pushed into a four or six-hour time slot.

Here are a few more reasons why I recommend full-day wedding photography coverage for all my couples:

Stress

When your wedding day arrives, you’re celebrating a single day that you’ve been planning for months, or probably years! The last thing you need to worry about is: “How long until my photographer leaves?” “Will she be here for x, y, or z?” “Did we get enough coverage?” This turns into a stressful situation very quickly.

Your wedding day includes dozens of parts that all need to happen at once: your hairstylist, makeup artist (or that cousin who does a great smoky eye), caterers, decorators, and much more. Your photographer shouldn’t be rushed because these moments are organic. You want to look back on your wedding day and see the candid moments wrapped in honest emotion.

Time

From the time you and your bridal party start getting ready, the first look, portraits, and bridal party portraits, all the way to the ceremony, the family formals and then the reception…the time adds up. The last thing you want to worry about is adding coverage on the day of your wedding because you didn’t plan for something unexpected.

Be Present

Be present on your wedding day. Obviously you will be there physically, but why worry that you’ll miss out on something? With full-day photography coverage, you can sit back, enjoy your meal (and dessert, of course) knowing that your photographer won’t miss the father-daughter or mother-son dance! You won’t need to worry about choosing what is most important…because it’s all important!!

Capturing Your Story

When you have a photographer available all day, you won’t look back and wish someone was there to capture your momma buttoning your wedding dress. You won’t have to miss out on portrait pictures with your grandma and grandpa. Your marriage starts here. Your wedding day is something you will look back on forever. I know your story matters to you, and it most definitely matters to me, too!

Timelines

Whether my brides have a wedding coordinator or not, I help my couples plan out their timelines. We’ll hop on a call together (your wedding planner is invited too) and map out your day. Creating a timeline early on helps your hair and makeup artists know when to start in order to have you ready on time! This also helps everyone know what time to be dressed and when their pictures will be (aka, no Karen you can’t start drinking until after photos at 2 pm).

After years of photographing weddings, I’ve learned to build in cushion-time for all my couples! Why? Sometimes, hair can be tricky or a bridesmaid has a dress malfunction…or hey, you might need to sit down and grab a bite to eat! When I plan your timeline, I’m also taking something off your plate. You can breathe easy knowing that everything will be captured!

Planning to Elope?

No worries! Grab your fiancé and your dress, and we will head to the mountains, or the beach! I offer elopement collections in my package options. Remember, I do reserve peak-season Saturdays for full-day wedding photography coverage. One of the great things with elopements is that you get to do these whenever you both want! Planning for a Tuesday elopement? I’ll be there!

Each wedding is entirely special. There is no cookie-cutter way to go with every wedding. Each couple is unique. You deserve a stress-free wedding experience. You deserve to be present in the precious moments on your wedding day.
