Elegant, Rustic Fall Wedding at Dragonfly

Honestly y’all, I think fall is probably one of my favorite times of the year. Not only does my love of all-things-pumpkin finally get validated, but I get to finally capture all these stunning weddings in all their fall foliage glory. For Matt and Taryn’s elegant, rustic wedding at Dragonfly Wedding Venue, the autumnal colors put on a mesmerizing show! Scroll down to see exactly what I mean!

I know I probably say this in every blog post, and it’s still true: I am so incredibly lucky to have such amazing brides. Not only have my brides been absolute dears, but their families have been too! Both Matt and Taryn’s families were lovely on their wedding day. Without doubt, my favorite family member of the day was Isla. Isla is T & M’s daughter, and was their flower girl for the big day. She was so incredibly patient all day long, and had the best energy! The morning of the wedding, Isla woke up and yelled, “It’s wedding daaaayyyyy!!!” as if it was Christmas morning! Trust me y’all, I was there to hear it. Come on?! How stinkin’ cute is that?!

On the big day, Taryn and Matt went out of their way to include their daughter every chance they could. Before the wedding, Taryn told me she’d been dreaming of her daughter as her flower girl! How sweet! The love that both T & M’s families had for them was incredibly special. And as for the wedding party? Well, T & M sure know how to pick ’em! Taryn and her bridesmaids grew up together, so it was a blast hanging out with them all day! Matt and his groomsmen were absolutely hysterical (scroll down to see some hilarious shots of the guys)! Fun fact: I actually went to grade school with Taryn so I knew most of the wedding guests, which made the day even more fun!

As a wedding vendor, I get the privilege of hanging out with lots of amazing, wonderful people through the couples I meet. Sometimes, I meet some very special wedding vendors who make the day just that much better. This time, I got to work with two incredible vendors: Mystify Music and White Oak Wedding Films. Mike and Michelle, from Mystify Music, were so organized which kept the party going through the evening! They were absolutely fantastic with the newlyweds and truly embodied how an emcee/dj team should be. As a photographer, working seamlessly with a videographer is essential. Working with Luke during T & M’s big day was exactly that. Without reservation, I can’t say enough wonderful things about these two amazing teams!!
