Tyler and Sadie’s dreamy Decatur wedding was a dream come true!! I just loved working with these two and their families-they were such a joy to be around. Their dreamy Decatur wedding had a little bit of rain, but that did not stop us from creating epic moments. This wedding hardly felt like work because of this couple!!

This will 110% be a long post because I just loved everything about this wedding day!! Sadie and Tyler had their dreamy Decatur wedding at their church and told me they wanted their portraits at Rock Springs Conservation Center. So when we walked up to the wooded area and it was speckled with breathtaking pines, I was on cloud nine!!

How did I get so lucky with these two?? When it started raining, Sadie tossed the umbrella and they walked out into a gorgeous field. **insert happy dance** Seriously, when Sadie and I worked on her timeline, she said she just wanted to take lots of time to take pictures!! So did I tell you they were a dream to work with??

Ok, I can’t just jump into all of the gorgeous details first. So let me take you back to when Sadie, Tyler and I first met.
I photographed Sadie’s sister (Abby) wedding back in September. The night of Abby’s wedding, Sadie came up to me and said “I really hope you have May 15th open because you have to photograph my wedding!!” Well absolutely!! Fast forward to this Saturday and spending the day with this sweet couple. After proposals, engagement sessions, and weddings, I’ve decided to make myself an honorary family member!! Sadie and Abby, you both can have a spare sister!! Hahaha!!

Being that I have photographed both of their weddings now, I got to see how different they each are and love seeing their individuality. But there was one thing in common that I noticed: A very sweet momento to remember their mom by. I asked them that evening if it was the same one from Abby’s wedding and it was. I am a sucker for details but there’s just something about sentimental items that make me tear up!!

There was a bullet casing in Tyler’s detail box when photographing the groom details. So obviously I asked about it too! Tyler explained to me that is was the casing from his grandfather’s 21 gun salute. Guys….let me tell you I cried like 10 times that day!!
From their cake, to the ties, every single detail was beautifully planned and thought out. A photographer’s dream!

Now if you have been following me for a while you probably know how much I love first looks. Whether they are with the groom, the dad, bridesmaids…I love them all!!! So let me preface all of this by saying that Sadie’s dad, Tim, will make you cry!!! I don’t care who you are. He is THE sweetest!! I no sooner got Tim out in front of the church while my assistant, Alliyah, went to bring out Sadie. And Tim starting getting choked up. So obviously I’m trying not to cry. Sadie giggled and said “He’s already crying isn’t he?” Haha! Too cute!!!

It was the sweetest moment watching Tyler’s mom and dad sitting with him in the church patiently waiting for his turn for a first look. His mom, Cindy, was gorgeous in her gown and was such a gem!!!
In my line of work, I am blown away by the families that I am blessed to get close to. Celebrating this happy and joyous day with them is something I will never forget.

Tyler and Sadie, it was an honor and a blessing to spend the day celebrating your dreamy Decatur wedding and helping you create memories to outlast a lifetime!! I hope everyone has enjoyed their day as much I was able to!!
