I’ve had an incredibly busy October, and I’m so grateful! One of the amazing couples I had the privilege of spending time with, Mike & Katie, got married in the middle of October! Finally, I’m getting a chance to tell you all about it! Honestly, it’s been first on my to-do list because I’m so excited to share these gorgeous shots with y’all.
So, if you remember back to this summer, K & M had their engagement session at the Garden of the Gods. She had a boot on and was a little scared of heights, but that didn’t stop us from having a blast! If you want to check out their engagement session first, learn more about how they first met, and then come right back to finish hearing about their wedding story, click here!
One of the things that stood out the most to me throughout K & M’s classic wedding was how stinkin’ in love they were! Katie was pretty nervous for her and Mike’s first look. Initially, she told me she wasn’t sure about a first look because she wanted to see Mike at the altar. But I’m so glad she decided on a private first look before the ceremony! Check out their sweet reactions below! Another thing that stood out to me was how much Mike & Katie’s family and friends love them. Like, holy smokes y’all. So many times during the day, I’d look up and Katie would be helping family make plates, or serving the cake to everyone. These two are so incredibly selfless, generous and kind!
On a crisp autumn day (I mean, the fall foliage was stunning) in October, Katie walked down the aisle to meet Mike. Saint Anne’s Episcopal Church, build in 1886, was the perfect, quaint backdrop for this sweet couple. The historic church looked straight out of a storybook, both inside and out! Katie was so incredibly present throughout the day, which made for many sweet moments. The couple chose not to have a wedding party, which meant more time to focus on their close friends and family. Ready for the most epic part of the whole day?! During the reception at The Fork & Vine, K & M decided to have dueling pianos instead of a DJ! Isn’t that amazing?! It was an absolute blast, and everyone at the wedding enjoyed it tons!
